And so our 50th year draws to a close...

...but we saw it out in style with a tremendous evening at the NUFC Magpie Club. With over 160 members and guests booked in to the Dinner it was a great night out for all.

The Magpie Club proved to be a smashing venue for us. AT one point people were queuing up to get pictures of themselves against the view of the pitch and the tiers of seating in the stadium. An awesome sight!

Well looked after

The Newcastle staff looked after us extremely well with a choice of table service or the bar for drinks and a lovely three course meal.

The evening started with a moving tribute to Brian Moor and Colin Mussett from Neil Clarke. Sadly, we lost both of these old friends, this year.

After the meal...

We split the trophy presentation into two lots, this year with a refreshment break in the middle. This seemed to work well, keeping things fresh.

The raffle went well with a surprising number of wins by the Sponsor and Committee (which just goes to show how much we all spend on raffle numbers, too!) Most of these were refused and a new number was drawn.

The auction was short and sweet as people were starting to leave by this time so finally, the evening drew to a close about 11:30pm
