The Davison Cup is a team knock-out competition played between Clubs of the North Northumberland and Hadrian Leagues. Teams of 5 compete in scratch matchplay competition.

Each year a random draw is made at the Hadrian League AGM including 12 NNL Clubs and 15 HL Clubs.

Clubs are knocked out, round by round finishing in a final between two Clubs. The final can end up between two NNL Clubs, one from each League or, as occurred thuis year, two HL Clubs.
